Hydration

When we think of beautiful skin, we think of skin that is moisturized with a healthy glow.

As we age, our skin naturally looses its ability to keep itself as hydrated as it did when we were younger. You may turn to face creams to help boost this moisture, but first, examine your cleanser. Why strip your skin of its natural oils with harsh soaps and then have to use all those heavy moisturizers?

Our Gentle Cleanser allows skin to maintain its natural moisture while adding the best available hydration:

  • Vegetable Glycerin attracts water and hydrates. Naturally found in your skin, this helps to boost those supplies.
  • Vegetable Cetyl Alcohol is derived from vegetable oil and locks moisture into the skin.
  • Aloe Vera has been used for hundreds of years for its abilities as a moisturizer.
  • Hyaluronic Acid is naturally occurring in skin. It’s the glue that holds our skin together and gives it the smoothness of youth. It absorbs 1000 times its weight in water, so it takes water out of the air and puts it into your skin.
  • Methylpropanediol is hydrating and this enhances the penetration of the other ingredients into your skin.
  • Ceramides naturally occur on the skin surface to protect your skin against water loss. The Gentle Cleanser will add additional ceramides to your skin to keep your skin protected all day long.
  • Cholesterol gets a bad name when there’s too much in our blood vessels. But it’s also naturally found on the surface of the skin, and it helps to create a barrier to keep in needed moisture.

Gentle Cleanser will remove dirt, oil, toxins, impurities, environmental pollutants and all traces of makeup while enhancing your skin’s natural hydration and moisture balance.

It can be a difficult battle to get rid of redness, especially as we age.

Inflammation, broken capillaries and irritation from pollutants we are exposed to throughout the day can show through even the most expertly applied makeup.

This is why we created our Sea Radiance Gentle Cleanser with natural ingredients to counteract redness in several different ways:

Aloe Vera - Fights Redness

Aloe Vera has natural anti-inflammatory properties that help to minimize irritation.

Chamomilla recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract – this is wild chamomile! It is also an anti-inflammatory used to calm sensitive skin.

Bisabolol is an anti-inflammatory derived from chamomile, as well.

Panthenol DL is also known as provitamin B5, and it reduces redness.

Every time you wash your face, these natural ingredients will be working to soothe your skin to prepare it for your favorite moisturizers, serums and elixirs.

You can hardly pick up any skin care product without seeing the word “antioxidants.”

The word has become synonymous with “good for your skin.” But, don’t be daunted by the scientific-sounding title – you can understand how they work and use them as part of your skincare routine!

Think of an apple – if you slice it and leave it out, soon the exposed fruit will turn brown. This is oxidization, which leads to the deterioration of a living organism, whether it’s a piece of fruit, or your skin!

Antioxidants, as their name implies, prevent oxidization to keep skin looking fresh and youthful. This is why when you coat an apple slice with lemon juice it will not turn brown. The antioxidants in the lemon juice are doing their job.

The same is true of antioxidants on your skin, but they need to be the right ones. Dr. Jaliman has packed our Sea Radiance Gentle Cleanser with powerful antioxidants that will be most effective to help your skin combat aging on a daily basis.

Chamomile - AntioxidantsChamomilla recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract – this wild chamomile contains the antioxidant flavonoids.

Tocopherol Nicotinate – another name for Vitamin E, a potent antioxidant and longtime favorite in skincare.

Aloe Vera contains antioxidant vitamins A, C and E. Three amazing vitamins in one little plant! It is also anti-inflammatory, so it takes redness out of your skin.

Essential oils blend made from green tea – contains polyphenols, a powerful source of additional antioxidants.

Now that you know how antioxidants work, you can incorporate these powerful ingredients into your daily skincare routine to help keep your skin healthy and vibrant for years to come.
